Using time lapse photography and normal 24fps or 30fps video clips, this film is a visual essay on the constant movement of people from one place to another. The daily activities of people dictates almost continuous travel here and there, to and fro or to and from. A long segment of the film documents a Gay Pride parade and celebration in Portland, Maine, which illustrates the very diverse collection of people, animals and vehicles moving with a pace determined by the activity. Other activities such as shopping at a supermarket, or walking one’s dog, dictate a different rhythm; but always there is movement. Even with the waves on the water and clouds in the sky is the movement noticed.
